Yesterday I took ownership of new glasses.

In all my life I never would have thought I'd break down and improve my vision with corrective lenses, however in my old age, It was either get new glasses, or spend my life acting like im deaf to keep people from noticing my poor eyesight.

Last night was the first trial run of my new specs. My wife and I went out to see the newly lit trees downtown. When we got home, BOOM fogged glasses.

We've all heard of figgy pudding, its in that song...you know...about Christmas.

Anyway, with the radio station in full Christmas mode, I thought now might be a good time to find out about this elusive desert, namely, what on earth is it.

My quest for the truth eventually led me to this recipe, which describes figgy pudding as a "spice cake-like souffle"... in other words not technically a "pudding" at all. The plot thickens.

Anyway the website makes it look pretty good and it serves twelve, so who am I to judge?

Old Fashioned Christmas!

We've talked about it a whole bunch this week... so I see no need to stop now.

All you need to know is it's a really  fun time to spend with friends and family, and that it's at Heritage part (1 Tolen Drive) from noon to 5:00 PM this Saturday.
