As people near the end of their lives, as they are faced with their own mortality, they sometimes look back and wish they had done things differently. A nurse who worked in a pallative care unit wrote down a number of the things people told her that they wished they'd done differently. As a younger 20 something myself, I thought this was a good reminder from those who have lived their lives and come before me, to not get too caught up in my work, stay in touch with old friends and.... well you can read the rest below.
1. I wish I’d had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.
2. I wish I didn’t work so hard.
3. I wish I’d had the courage to express my feelings.
4. I wish I had stayed in touch with my friends.
5. I wish that I had let myself be happier.
